We are delighted to share Play the Lincolnshire Way, a brand-new resource designed to inspire families to make the most of everyday moments through the power of play.

Developed in partnership by the Lincolnshire Maintained Nursery School Federation (LMNSF), the Lincolnshire County Council Early Years and Childcare Team, and Lincolnshire Best Start for Life Family Hubs, this free booklet is packed with practical, low-cost ideas to help children learn, grow and thrive.

At the heart of Play the Lincolnshire Way is a simple message: children don't need expensive toys or elaborate activities to learn. Some of the richest learning happens during everyday experiences—talking on a walk, making lunch together, reading a favourite story, singing nursery rhymes or exploring the world around them.

The booklet is full of ideas that families can dip into whenever they have a few spare minutes. Whether you're looking for inspiration on a rainy afternoon, planning an outdoor adventure, or simply wanting a new idea to try together, we hope it helps make play easy, enjoyable and meaningful.
